Carissa Quiambao

I’m a Brooklyn-based journalist and producer that’s worked in video, news and social media for over a decade.

Currently, I lead the social video team at ProPublica.

Formerly I’ve held roles like: writer/producer at USA TODAY’s Humankind, social video producer at Refinery29, i-D and VICE News, associate producer at CNN and producer at VICE Media Group, among others

I have an M.S. from Columbia Journalism School where I was a duPont-Columbia Awards fellow, an Anne O'Hare McCormick scholar and a Brown Institute Magic Grant recipient.

I also have a B.A. in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara where I was Editor In Chief of their independent newspaper, the Daily Nexus.
